1) The Santa Barbara Courthouse, scene of the ferret trial in China Lake, the hit-and-run arraignment in Mission Canyon, and Phil Delaney's press conference in Crosscut.

3) The Old Mission, Santa Barbara. In Mission Canyon, this is where Evan Delaney, holding her best friend's baby, is chased by bad guys and realizes she doesn't want her obituary to include the phrase "fatal plunge."
4) The city rose garden and the neighborhood where Evan lives, seen from the Old Mission. A few blocks away is the intersection where, in Kill Chain, Tim North crashes into a fire hydrant, ending a car chase and leaving him and Evan to confront a hit man. Pretty, isn't it?
